The role

The Operations Coordinator will assist the Director of Operations, Office of the CEO with making the CEO and executive team better, faster, stronger and more effective leaders by creating capacity for them to focus on the most important TechSoup business matters. This role will work on special projects, and assist with social media and other preparation for the CEO. This summer, this role will assist with the impact investing project which includes investor research, executive preparation and investor platform setup and maintenance.

Potential Projects include but are not limited to:

Impact investing project support - includes investor research, executive team preparation, and investor platform setup and maintenance
Time tracking analysis - monitoring time tracking compliance and analysis of data for budget and project needs.
Research – The Operations Coordinator will assist on research on matters that arise for the executive department: processes, procedures, company research, travel, presentations, etc.
CEO’s Social Media – Monitor and make recommends for social media posts on Twitter and LinkedIn

 

Duties

  • Assisting with the team’s workflow and priorities by managing your schedule and anticipating next steps, including managing special projects as assigned
  • Providing members of the Executive Leadership Team leverage in moving projects forward by assisting with information gathering, developing and monitoring plans, creating presentations and recommending social media posts etc.
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously and following through on issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

This role is best suited for someone seeking to work at a nonprofit in either business operations or non-profit management. Prior office experience is preferred and knowledge or experience with non-profits would be helpful. The right candidate will have a desire to learn quickly, be intellectually curious and want to work in nonprofits in the future. The qualification for this role include:

  • Must be actively and presently enrolled an accredited college or university at an undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Must have the following key attributes: A positive, rolls-up-your-sleeves mindset; detail oriented and meticulous; excellent organizational skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Experience with or interest in non-profit management and impact investing.

Knowledge

  • Social networking and non-profit knowledge preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of impact investing preferred.

 

Skills

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Diplomacy and teamwork. 



Abilities

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people.
  • A self-starter who is willing and able to jump into a project to forge their own process or path, with guidance from the team

 

This is a full time, paid summer internship.
