The TechSoup Europe team (headquartered in Warsaw) oversees the design and implementation of programs in close collaboration with the TechSoup Global Network of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). TechSoup Global Network manages a wide range of technology capacity-building programs for communities in nearly every region of the world.
Purpose of the role
TechSoup’s Senior Manager Development position is suited to an international fundraiser who wants to work in a fast-growing, dynamic international organization on a transformational journey.
Your role will be to identify and create funding opportunities, with a focus on European funders. The role is hands on and collaborative and requires a participative manager who can work closely with Program leads and the TechSoup Global Partners Network to support programmatic growth. You should be open to new ideas, independent and committed to a creation of an inclusive culture.
Primary responsibilities
The job holder will have the following key responsibilities:
- Identify and create specific funding opportunities for TechSoup, with specific focus on Europe, including monitoring calls for proposals from the diverse sources.
- Identify possible partnering opportunities within and beyond the TechSoup Network that would strengthen the funding prospects.
- When needed build and manage relationships with funders.
- Participate and contribute to strategic planning and cross-team efforts related to fundraising.
- Together with the global development team, program leads, and other relevant resources, develop and implement strategies to measure the impact of grants and share knowledge to inform the future grant opportunities.
- Manage proposals creation by engaging appropriate staff members—including Senior Management and key SMEs —to design, develop, and scope project proposals.
- Where needed engage partners and coordinate their contribution to proposals.
- Own complete process of proposals preparation including concepts, budgeting, planning, proposal writing and managing grant writers, collaborating with the stakeholders, and partners, coordinating input and sign off as required and ensuring the appropriate follow-up after the submissions.
- Provide proposal review, proofing, and editing support to the development and other teams as required and collaborate with program team(s) in grant development and delivery efforts.
- Support grant agreements (including sub-awards, and grant amendments), and consortia agreements negotiations and signing process, grants set-up/kick off process.
- Ensure that the appropriate project scoping, reporting and grant delivery is on track and help course correction of grant-funded projects as needed.

Experience
- Significant fundraising experience with an international NGO.
- Experience in leading the proposal application process, including consortia building.
- Will have developed a network of European institutional or private funders.
